Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized physiotherapeutic treatment designed to reduce swelling (edema) caused by disorders within the lymphatic system. The goal is to stimulate the removal of excess tissue fluid and specifically activate the lymphatic system.
The therapy is used especially after surgery, injuries, tumor treatments, or chronic conditions (for example lymphedema). Through gentle, rhythmic, circular hand techniques the lymph flow is stimulated and the tissue is relieved in a sustainable way.
