Cupping Therapy

What is

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a traditional therapeutic method that is now specifically used within modern physiotherapy. Specialized cupping jars are placed on the skin, creating a controlled vacuum (negative pressure). This stimulus promotes local blood circulation, activates tissue metabolism, and can release muscular and fascial tension.
In my private practice in Munich, cupping is tailored individually to your symptoms and is often used as an adjunct to manual techniques or therapeutic exercise.

Key benefits of

Cupping Therapy

The vacuum created during the session specifically stimulates blood circulation. At the same time, adhesions in the connective tissue are released and tissue tension is regulated. This can lead to noticeable relief from muscular complaints.

Promotion of Local Blood Circulation

The vacuum increases microcirculation and improves the oxygen supply to the tissue.

Releasing Muscle Stiffness and Fascial Adhesions

Tense or hardened tissue is loosened, and elasticity is improved.

Stimulation of Lymphatic Flow and Metabolism

Metabolism in the treated area is activated, supporting regeneration.

Support for the Body’s Natural Detoxification

Improved blood circulation allows metabolic byproducts to be transported away more quickly.

Pain Relief and General Regeneration

Levels of tension are reduced, which can alleviate pain and promote recovery.

Your coverage

As a private practice I treat privately insured patients, patients with civil‑servant medical‑benefit coverage (Beihilfe), and self‑paying patients. I will be happy to inform you transparently about the treatment process and cost structure before therapy begins.
Cupping therapy is individually integrated into the treatment plan and can also be used as a supplement to other physiotherapeutic measures.
